The Hooker Oak Alliance would like to recognize the contrutions of all candidates in the recent elections. Any individual that takes the time, makes the effort, and weathers the strain on friends and family to run for public office should be commended. Michael Dailey, Dan Herbert, Mark Sorensen, and Steve Bertagna did a service to all of us with their campaigns.

On November 7th the liberal city council and supervisorial candidates garnered the majority of the public vote. The citizens of Chico have decided which direction they wish their public policy to go. While some aspects of the election results may still be subject to change, we would like to congratulate the candidates that at this time have achieved a clear victory, Mary Flynn and Scott Gruendl. Tom Nickell, and Maureen Kirk are currently listed as leaders as well, but those results could change. They also deserve congratulations on their campaigns.

We wish whoever wins luck and success in their efforts to guide Chico's future.
